Laureldale Chief 18-30 and Mays Landing Asst. Chief 18-11 both arrived and confirmed a working fire. Engine 33 arrived just behind Cologne's Tower and laid a supply line from the hydrant, and began assisting with extinguishing the fire. Tanker 38 arrived behind Mays Landing Tanker 19 and Cardiff Engine from Egg Harbor Township. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the original structure with some damage to the nearby residences. Crews remained on location for approximately 3 hours. Once units were back in station they spent the next hour cleaning the hose and getting the trucks back in service. Also assisting on location was Bargaintown, and NJ Air Guard firefighters, Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad and Police Department.
