Fire / Rescue – Calls for Service Update 🚒

Over the past three days, Laureldale Vol. Fire / Rescue has responded to a total of 14 calls for service, continuing our commitment to protecting our community and assisting our neighbors when needed most.

In the cold weather, crews responded to multiple calls for service, including:

• Call 26-051: Activated water flow alarm at Intex Millwork Solutions
• Call 26-052: Arcing wires on Route 50 near 2nd Street
• Call 26-053: Reported active oven fire
• Call 26-054: Odor of something burning in a residence

As winter weather moves in, your safety is our priority! Here are some Do’s and Don’ts during snow storms and ways you can help your local fire department:

• Stay indoors unless absolutely necessary.
• Clear snow from fire hydrants near your home (at least 3 feet around and a path to the street).
• Keep driveways and walkways clear for emergency responders.

1:06 am for a chimney fire. 8:20 am for a possible electrical fire. 11:00 am for a fire alarm, that was upgraded to an electrical fire. 11:09 am for smoke coming from a building. 11:20 am for smell of gas in a residence. All these calls were handled and coordinated by Mays Landing, Cologne, and Laureldale Volunteer firefighters.... (Full Story & Photos)
