3 fire alarms, 1 carbon monoxide alarm, 1 vehicle fire, 1 motor vehicle accident, and 1 gas leak. Approximately 5:55 pm Laureldale firefighters were dispatched to the Atlantic City Expressway for a reported motor vehicle accident. Laureldale Chief Car 18-30 arrived and found a vehicle off the roadway into the trees on it's side, and all occupants out of the vehicle. Engine 33 and Tanker 38 both arrived and assisted on location until being released by State Police on location. As units were clearing the Expressway Cologne firefighters were handling a call when they received an additional call for a smell of natural gas in a residence. Cologne Assistant Chief 18-51 requested Laureldale to the second call while they were handling another call. Laureldale firefighters responded to the Hamilton Greene Apartments and remained on location until being cleared by South Jersey Gas. Our firefighters meet on Wednesday night, once all trucks were put back in service firefighters had a work detail cleaning the property until 9:30 pm. Our dedicated volunteers had a busy day, we are always looking for anyone interested in joining and assisting in the community stop by any Wednesday night at 7 pm.
