Tanker 18-39 responded to the scene and provided water for the fire while Tanker 18-38 responded to Elwood Volunteer Fire Company - Station 160 as part of a cover assignment. As our units were clearing Mullica Township, Laureldale along with Cologne Volunteer Fire Company and Mays Landing Fire Department were dispatched into Laureldale for a chimney fire. 18-30 arrived simultaneously with engine 18-33. Crews from 18-33 and 18-38 laddered the roof to access the chimney. Firefighters used a chimney sweep to clean out the chimney pipe. Cologne firefighters gained access to the attic of the residence to check for any extension. After the hazard was mitigated all units cleared the scene and command was terminated.
