| 7% increase in call volume compared to this time last year. That means more emergencies, more demand, and more need for dedicated responders ready to answer the call—day or night. Across the United States, volunteer fire departments are facing a serious challenge. Today, about 65% of all firefighters are volunteers, yet the number of volunteers has dropped significantly—from nearly 900,000 in the 1980s to around 635,000 today. At the same time, emergency calls have tripled over the past 40 years, putting more pressure than ever on fewer responders. Simply put—the need is growing, but the number of people stepping up is shrinking. That’s where YOU come in. 🔥 We are actively recruiting new members🔥 When you join Lauderdale Fire Rescue, you’re not just joining a department—you’re becoming part of something bigger: ✅ Serve and protect your community 💥 What we offer: 📍 Interested?
