Crews reviewed multiple rescue scenarios to help refresh and sharpen the skills that are critical during serious motor vehicle accidents.

Training like this is extremely important for our members. Every crash scene is different, and continuous hands-on practice allows our firefighters and rescuers to work safely, efficiently, and effectively when someone is trapped and needs help fast. Regular training also gives our members the opportunity to stay familiar with new techniques, tools, and rescue strategies that can make a difference in an emergency.

During the drill, we also had the opportunity to check out some new equipment and technology offered by Holmatro USA & Canada and ESI Equipment, Inc. Thank you to Leandra from ESI Equipment for coming out and assisting with the training and demonstrations.

A special thank you as always to Dirkes Used Auto Parts and RT50 U-Pull-It by Dirkes for their continued support of our department and for providing vehicles for our training exercises. Partnerships like these help ensure our members are prepared to serve our community when called upon.
